9. Valve System

   Sets the actuator action, positioner
   action, and valve action. Select a
   menu option from the appropriate
   combo box.
   
   Tap [Send] to transmit the changes to
   the valve positioner. If you have not
   yet tapped [Send], and want to recall
   the previous data, tap [Read].
   
   The actuator action is set
   automatically by Auto Setup. The
   positioner action is determined by the
   hardware specification, and cannot be
   changed in this setting. Please set it
   according to the hardware    specification.
   
   For linear valves, the direction of valve
   action is determined by the closing
   direction.
    -- Direct action: push-down-to-close
       (extending the actuator stem closes
       the valve)
    -- Reverse action: push-down-to-open
       (extending the actuator stem opens        the valve)
   For a rotary valve, or when the
   attached direction of the valve
   positioner is different, make sure that
   at the valve's fully closed position the
   positioner's travel is confirmed to be
   0%, and at the valve's 100% open
   position the positioner's travel is
   confirmed to be 100%.
