Hello
Toru,
Here is below minute
notes about our yesterday meeting with RMG:
Attendees: Mr Koerte,
Mr Zajc, Mr Grexa, Mr Schlegel, Mr Ishikuma & Mr
Houllier
04/06/08 at
Butzbach
Discussion which were
supposed to be on Sales activity and business forecast has been quickly stopped
by Mr Koerte.
Mr Koerte has informed
Yamatake that they have top priority concern about technical issues that
must be solved as soon as possible.
3
main issues:
-
When FF cable is
physically disconnected, the SLD100 continues to deliver information via TCP/IP
port as everything was OK. The TCP/IP port is still open and data given via this
port sounds correct. So there is no way to detect such
failure.
-
When connecting HFA100
in parallel of SLD100 and HGC303 FF network, the communication comes
instable
-
RMG are not in position
to get PTB approval for multi-stream application because they cannot control HGC
sequence.
RMG wanted to test HGC
communication with HDM to see if there is difference with HGC and SLD100. Their
HDM did not work. Ishikuma san brings a new one, so they can continue their
tests.
Mr Ishikuma has
indicated several possible solution to fix the non stability with
HGC/SLD/HFA:
-
Check LAS (link active
Scheduler). Only one should be active
-
Check terminator: two
must be installed, no more.
-
RMG will check but they
said it should be OK
-
However RMG has noticed
that voltage between the 2 wires of FF cable is only 0Vdc. They ask us if this
is normal. Their understanding is that it should be at least+8V to
30Vdc.
We agree on having
shortly a meeting at Butzbach with our specialist for FF networking and HGC time
control. Mr Ishikuma will check possibility with
Japan.
RMG has started to
promote new attached PGC6000 since January 2008. They have already booked 2
orders but cannot deliver due to above technical
issues
Best
regards,
Regis
